Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These terms govern your use of Hitt Hosting Sign ("Sign", "the service", "we", "us"), an electronic-signature service operated as part of the Hitt Hosting product suite. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

1. The service

Sign lets you upload documents, place signature and form fields, route them to one or more recipients for electronic signature, and download the completed documents. Every envelope carries a hash-chained audit trail that records signing events (including timestamp, IP address, and user agent), and completed documents receive a cryptographic digest and an RFC 3161 trusted timestamp.

2. Electronic signatures

The service is designed to capture signer intent and consent in a manner consistent with the U.S. ESIGN Act and UETA, and to preserve a tamper-evident record of the signing process. You are responsible for determining whether electronic signatures are appropriate and legally effective for your specific documents, transactions, and jurisdictions — some document types (for example certain wills, court filings, or notarized instruments) may require other formalities. We provide the signing process and the evidence; we do not provide legal advice, and we make no warranty that any particular signed document is enforceable in any particular dispute.

3. Your account

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account, including activity by workspace members you invite. Signing links are unique per recipient — instruct recipients not to forward them. You must provide accurate recipient information; sending a document to the wrong person is your responsibility, though the service provides tools to correct or void envelopes.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the service only for lawful purposes. You agree not to: upload content that is illegal or that you have no right to process; impersonate another person or misrepresent the origin of a signature request; attempt to tamper with audit records; probe, disrupt, or overload the service; or use it to send unsolicited bulk communications. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Your documents and data

You retain all ownership of the documents you upload and the data in them. We process them solely to provide the service — storage, field placement, signing, flattening, audit-trail generation, and delivery to your recipients. You can download your signed documents and audit certificates at any time, and the service includes data-deletion tools (including an owner-initiated personal-data purge for completed envelopes and a configurable retention policy).

6. Billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe, monthly or annually, at the prices published on the pricing page. Credit packs are consumed when an envelope is sent — a declined or expired envelope still consumes its credit. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges and the service remains available through the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.

7. Service availability

We work to keep the service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. After cancellation or closure, your data is retained for 30 days to allow export, then permanently deleted, except where a longer retention is required by law or by your own configured retention policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated "last updated" date, and continued use of the service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
