Features
Envelopes, fields, payments, and proof
Envelopes & Routing
Multi-document envelopes with sequential or parallel routing and signer, approver, CC, and viewer roles. Reassign, correct, duplicate, or void without starting over.
0213 Field Types
Drag-and-drop signature, initial, text, number, date, checkbox, radio, dropdown, file upload, auto-fill name/email, payment, and calculated, with conditional show/hide and server-enforced validation rules.
03Collect Payment at Signature
Add a Payment field and the document cannot complete until the card clears. The signer pays inline via Stripe; the charge lands on the audit certificate.
04Templates & Bulk Send
Reusable templates with named roles, field-tag auto-placement from {{tags}}, public /t/ signing pages, and CSV bulk send to 500 recipients with mail-merge personalization.
05Localized Signing
Pick a language per recipient (English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese) and the signing page, every signer email, and the ESIGN consent disclosure all localize.
06Signer-First Experience
No signer accounts. In-person signing on your device, SMS delivery, saved signatures, self-service downloads, and comments & questions that don't force a decline.
07Contract Lifecycle
Capture effective, renewal, and term-end dates on executed contracts. A provable reminder fires before auto-renewal or lapse, and a dashboard shows everything coming due.
08Team, API & Embeds
Org roles and invitations, a REST API with scoped keys, an embeddable signing widget with white-label mode, and HMAC-signed outbound webhooks.
09Your Brand, Your Cadence
Workspace logo and accent color across signer pages and emails, custom email templates, sender aliases that route replies back to you, and automated reminders with signer-visible deadlines.
Court-Ready Evidence
Proof that holds up when a signature is challenged
Most e-signature tools give you a PDF and ask you to trust them. Hitt Sign gives you evidence you can hand to anyone: a cryptographic hash chain over every event, an independent trusted timestamp, a public verification page that works without an account, and a legal hold that provably preserves the record. These are the things that matter when a deal is disputed.
Hash-chained audit trail
Every event (view, consent, signature, reminder, correction) is cryptographically sealed against the one before it. One click recomputes every hash, and the org-wide Audit Ledger re-verifies your entire signing history against a daily anchor.
Public verification portal
Anyone holding your signed PDF (a bank, a title company, an auditor, opposing counsel) verifies it at sign.hitthosting.com/verify with the code on the certificate. No account needed, and the SHA-256 check runs in their browser: the file never leaves their device.
RFC 3161 trusted timestamps
Every completed PDF is sealed by a public timestamp authority, so "when it was signed" doesn't depend on trusting us. Verifiable offline with openssl, years from now.
Audit Certificate & archival PDF
A complete, never-truncated event log as a multi-page certificate, a flattened signed PDF with PDF/A-3b metadata for long-term archival, and a one-click ZIP evidence bundle for legal.
Legal hold
Litigation, audit, or records request? Freeze any executed envelope against the retention sweep, GDPR purge, and deletion until released. The preservation itself is recorded on the chain, so the decision to hold is provable.
ESIGN/UETA consent & identity
Every signer affirmatively consents to electronic records before signing, captured on the audit trail and printed on the certificate. Layer on email or SMS one-time codes, private access codes, and TOTP 2FA for senders.
Collect Payment on Signing
Get it signed and get paid in one flow
A deposit on a rental, a retainer on an engagement letter, a membership fee on a waiver, an FFL transfer fee — money that belongs at the moment of signature, not in a follow-up invoice someone has to chase. Add a Payment field to any envelope and the signer pays inline while they sign, the document can't complete until the card clears, and the charge is sealed into the same tamper-evident record as the signature it gated.
1. Add a Payment field
Set a fixed amount, currency, and description in the builder; it places on the page like any other field.
2. Signer pays inline
A Stripe card form sits right on the signing page. No invoice, no payment link, no second email thread.
3. Pay-to-complete gate
The envelope cannot reach completed until the charge clears. Payment is a hard gate alongside the signature.
4. On the record
The charge is recorded on the tamper-evident audit certificate, linked to the signature it gated.
How It Works
From upload to provable in four steps
Upload & place fields
Drop in a PDF and drag fields onto it, start from a template, or let {{field tags}} place them for you.
Route & send
Order signers in stages, gate identity with OTP or access codes, deliver by email or SMS, schedule the send for later.
Track & nudge
Live "2/4 signed" progress, "waiting on" indicators, automated reminders, and signer questions answered in a thread on the envelope.
Prove it
Download the signed PDF, audit certificate, and trusted timestamp, then hand the verification code to anyone who needs proof.
